Official Clark Cemetery Association Site

Welcome Friends

This is the Official Clark Cemetery Association site dedicated to the memory, preservation and history of our family members interred at Clark Cemetery in Parker County, Texas.

This site was put together explicitly for our family members — a private cemetery of those who are all descendants of the pioneers who helped tame and settle Parker County. Here you will find the interment listings, plot space and burial plot reservation forms, a history of the Historic Cemetery Dedication Ceremony, Early Ancestor Biographies, Family Names and their origins, and War Veterans links.

A Texas Historic Cemetery, Clark Cemetery was officially declared a historic cemetery in Texas by the Texas Historical Commission (THC) on February 16, 2011. The THC and the Clark Cemetery Association celebrated its Historic Marker Dedication on October 12, 2013.

Annual Meeting

Hope to see you at our Annual Cemetery Association meeting — always held on the 4th Saturday in April at the cemetery Pavilion. If the weather becomes inclement, we meet at Friendship Baptist Church two miles from the cemetery.

"Through hard times and good times, through wars and times of upheaval — Clark Cemetery has remained in the same place without interruption throughout history."

Our Mission

A Private Burial Ground

Clark Cemetery is a private, extended family place of burial and memorial. Everyone who is a part of the Clark Cemetery Association is related either through blood or marriage. In order to have a plot at Clark Cemetery, you must have a family connection to an ancestor buried at Clark Cemetery. Clark Cemetery receives no municipal, county, state, or federal funding to maintain its grounds — only private donations from its Association members who are all family, connecting through lineage to those who established the cemetery over 150 years ago. Clark Cemetery has remained in the same place without interruption throughout history — through hard times and good times, through wars and times of upheaval — and its families seek to preserve and protect the grounds and the heritage that is Clark Cemetery.
